For those who haven’t seen you before, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your blog?
Yes! I’m from the north of England, from a little village somewhere in between Liverpool and Manchester. I studied English at Uni of Liverpool but fashion has always been my ‘passion’ (excuse the cliché) so blogging was something o was naturally drawn to.
I’d been blogging for about nine months during my degree when last Christmas I decided to have a rethink about what I truly wanted to write. I came up with The Millennial Girl’s Guide as something a bit different and hopefully something that engages with a specific audience.
Why did you originally start your blog?
I originally started my blog not only as a creative outlet to share my outfits, but also to have the freedom to write. I have known for a long time that I wanted to incorporate fashion and writing into my job, so I thought it would both be fun and look great on my CV!
What is the best experience you’ve had through your blog and social media accounts?
I think the best experience is to work with some incredible brands, particularly ones that I have a long standing admirer of. It’s been great to meet others in the industry too, and begin to create relationships with those who have the same interests and goals as you.
What have you got coming up in 2018?
I have a few blog projects lined up, and I hope to expand on this and step up my game a lot more. I want to write more too so I’m looking forward to exploring this in other capacities other than blogging!
Can you give any tips for people who want to start a blog?
Yes! I’d say just go for it and put all your effort in. Don’t stress about finding a niche at first, your direction will continuously change but you will find out what works for you over time!
