Matt Cardle!!
Since his first audition, the gorgeously scruffy Matt was pitched as one of the favourites to win this year´s X Factor! With his cheeky charm, scruffy cap and lack of attitude (take note Cher...) this lovable singer definitely had our vote!In fact, after last night´s victory, it was revealed that Matt had come top of the public vote EVERY week apart from the first one!? Wowee - not bad for a painter and decorator!
But Matt Cardle is unlikely to have to paint again after beating the lovely Rebecca Ferguson to win The X Factor and seal that ?1million Record Deal.
Apparently more than 20 million households watched the nail biting final last night... And what a dramatic show it was! With guest appearances from Robbie Williams, Christina Aguilera, Will.I.Am and a very sexy show from Rihanna - no doubt there will have been a few complaints to Ofcom about the amount of skin on show!!
The whole show was a guessing game... no one could have predicted that One Direction would come third leaving Rebecca and Matt in the Final!
On hearing the results, Matt broke down in tears saying: ´Thanks from the bottom of my heart to everyone who voted for me. It feels really good to be putting a record out soon. To be the last man standing is just mind blowing.´
The X Factor winner was joined on stage by his fellow X Factor contenders, as he sang his Winners song ?When We Collide? (aka Many Of Horror by the awesome Biffy Clyro!) As Simon Cowell would say ?Great song choice Matt!!? We definitely approve, but will it be Christmas Number One?!
It must have been a disappointing night for poor Chezza Cole though... The mentor narrowly missed out on wining the X Factor for the third year in a row, as her act Rebecca took second place.
Commenting on the results, Dannii said: ´He totally deserves it. Rebecca was incredible competition tonight. He didn´t really believe he had it.´
And as this year´s X Factor comes to an end, so does the Style War between Cheryl and Danni! We have to admit that Danni won it for us... Classy and fabulous with great hair, what a yummy mummy!
