We're well and truly ready for Christmas (apart from the fact we've not bought one present, got any food in, or mentally prepared to have the whole fam round - but apart from that, we're totes ready!) and one of our fave things to do at the most magical time of the year, is to visit a traditional Christmas market. Now we're pretty lucky, as we have the best markets in the world (Manchester obvs) but we've decided to branch out this year, and we've been looking into some other festive markets that are held around the UK. So check out our top 5, guaranteed to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside; so grab the mulled wine and get going!

Manchester - I mean, we may be biased, but our *award winning* markets are pretty much perfect. Starting off in Albert Square, the traditional German markets have now taken over the city with over 300 stalls! From a prosseco bar outside Selfridges, to some of the BEST food you can get your hands on (including the internet sensation, cheesy toasties!). We love the fact you can walk around the markets wherever you are in the city; with smaller, individual pop ups tucked away, there really is something for everyone!
London - So we discovered there are LOTS of Christmas markets in London. We've visited a fair few, but during our research we discovered 'Christmas by the River' which none of us here at ROR had seen before. This stunning market is set abasing the back drop of the iconic Tower Bridge - how magical! With plenty of food, Christmas Crafts and mulled wine huts, you'll be sure to have a wonderful time and get in some sight seeing too!
Edinburgh - Probably our second fave market in the UK; Edinburgh has a magical air about it. Again, set all over the city, you can wander around this historical city, a city that really does do Christmas well. You'll find most of the stalls on East Princess Street, but with an ice rink, a festive fair and Santa's Grotto (the real one obvs!) on Castle Street, you'll be guaranteed to get in to the festive spirit, and by that we of course mean the famous Edinburgh gin!
Leeds - A fellow Northern town with an incredible German Market; Leeds is definitely one to visit if you have a spare weekend! Compact, but absolutely fantastic, we first visited the Leed's Christmas Markets a few years ago by accident, when we stumbled upon it, and we fell in love. This traditional German Market has everything you could ever need to get you in the festive mood. It's a brilliant one to visit if you have children, as every Saturday, Father Christmas himself is there in his 'Bavarian Chalet' (it's AMAZING!)!
Brighton - If you're looking for a super cool, super stylish Christmas vibe by the sea, then look no further than the Brighton Markets! Unlike the other markets, this is a one off pop up on the 1st and 2nd of December, but it's rather special as it's held on the iconic Brighton Pier!
