As you probably know, the month of June is pride month where we celebrate and raise awareness for everything LGBTQ+. While this year is a slightly different one, we're all still celebrating in our own ways. So, this year we've updated our much loved pride collection to show our support.
Last year, we introduced a new range of pride flags to make sure our collection was for every LGBTQ+ community and we still have these this year. However, our main pride rainbow has now been updated too! All our existing designs that featured this colour way now show off our new pride inclusive logo. Graphic designer, Daniel Quasar, updated the flag to represent the black and brown LGBTQ+ community as well as include part of the transgender flag to bring all communities together. Additionally, we know that with the NHS adopting the rainbow as their unofficial logo has left many queer people feeling strange as the rainbow has been a visual associated with pride for such a long time. We're hoping this new rainbow colour way can be seen as your own!
On top of the new inclusive colours, we have a brand new Drag Race design! Category is: TIE DYE ELEGANZA. Even Ru himself couldn't resist this sassy slogan top. We cannot get enough of tie dye at the moment and honestly, dancing drag queens just elevate it that one step further. The illustration is done by the amazing Dom&Ink and we absolutely love it! This design perfectly compliments our existing Rupaul top or dancing men t-shirt so you and your squad can slay together. (socially distanced of course)
Another update came to our Ally design. We've still kept it simple, but added in Proud to let everyone know that you are an ally to LGBTQ+ community. When put alongside the new colourway, this small, simple design represents a whole lot. Be proud to wear your colours for everyone to see!
Our pride collection is available all year round and we use a percentage of the proceeds to make annual donations to the LGBTQ Foundation. We are constantly looking to learn and improve our collection so if you ever have any suggestions or feedback on this please get in touch! Email us at info@rockonruby.co.uk
